The cottage is over two hundred years old and faces onto the village green in Kirk Yetholm. We have renovated and extended the cottage over the last two years to a very high standard, giving all the up to date facilities like wet rooms and under floor heating yet retaining the charm. (To see the cottage in more detail click on the menu on the left.)
The beds are extremely comfortable, with thick pocket sprung mattresses, quilted mattress protectors, goose down duvets (with summer, spring/autumn, and winter thickness) and lots of peace and quiet to ensure the best nights sleep. The travertine bath and shower room floors are heated so there are no chilly shocks on a morning stepping onto cold floors! And the two sitting rooms have open fires for extra warmth. All in addition to the central heating. Please look at some of the comments that recent guests have left in our guestbook.
Just across the village green is an award winning pub and restaurant (if you’re planning on eating there on your first night it’s worth reserving a table beforehand). Town Yetholm, half a mile away, has a Post Office, well stocked village shop (newspapers, off-licence and groceries), award winning butcher and a garage that sells fuel.
